The Sony Ericsson Satio Black combines a sleek appearance with state of the art and innovative technology. The new Satio Black is a mix between the previous Walkman and Cybershot Sony Ericsson models; therefore the handset is able to offer both a quality camera with Xenon flash as well as a full range of multimedia playback preferences.

The overall feel of the phone is extremely slim and light as the battery pack fits snugly under the handsets cover.

The face of the phone is very contemporary in design with a minimalist look, only featuring a call, menu and hang up icon. The phone offers an impressive 12.1 megapixel camera and the camera controls are featured on the right hand side of the handset, with the zoom buttons also acting as volume control. The left hand side reveals a slider tool for unlocking the handset, a USB and headphone connection, charging port and also space for the microSD card.

The phone provides a front facing camera in order to allow users to make video calls. The featured photograph playback key enables the user to access various images in both standby and camera option. Users can tap directly into songs and videos through the use of the full-touch media menu. Video clips and TV series are available in full 16:9 widescreen display.

In order to operate the handsfree and media applications, the handset comes with a music controller feature as well as a variety of headphone options.

This particular handset is certainly packed with many exciting features including a video out cable, which gives users the option to transfer media from the phone direct to the television. The phone comes with a good number of applications including one entitled ‘Smartmovie', which is able to turn the handset into an avi player. Many more applications can be downloaded in order to personalize the phone to the user.
